Jotja Bessems

Jotja Bessems is a director, producer and camerawoman, making independent documentaries as well as educational films. As a camera journalist, she creates items and documentaries for television and internet.

Raised in the southern hills of the Netherlands, Jotja studied Science of Media and Culture (Theatre, Film and Television) in the Dutch city of Utrecht. Since her internship at the regional television station, she developed her skills as a camerawoman and director on numerous projects for governmental and non-governmental organizations. Since 2002 she works independently.
